canarians are really warm
I lived in the canaries for a couple of years and apart from the language which was tough,the people were really nice and genuine and they made it a lot easier for us.The place is fully of fun there is always a reason to go back there

shopping
I would advice that if you are going to gran canary ,you should avoid shopping in maspalomas,playa del ingles and all of the south ,do your shopping in las palmas thats where the locals shop ohterwise you get ripped off in the south the prices there are for tourist.
