Erie

Comprised primarily of academic, governmental, and commercial institutions, Pennsylvania is a rectangular block at the base of the Northeast US. Touching a rather diverse set of states on all sides, it is a place influenced by many cultures, an even greater number of civil rights actions and triumphs, and countless individuals from the periods of colonial America to today. Erie, the breadwinner of Pennsylvania's small number of lakeside cities - and the largest of the group - operates a very valuable port system specializing in a collection of services ranging from trade to transportation. Though its waterside districts are undoubtedly its busiest, Erie's remaining areas are not so easily ignored. You can find convenience access to exquisite artistry just as you would a boat for rent (for tours of Lake Erie or a full-fledged fishing expedition). Reaching the famous Presque Isle State Park is possible via bus, car, boat and bicycle. Once you've made way onto the peninsula, you'll come to know thousands of acres of parkland and a beautiful stretch of sand, both of which are visitor-friendly and open throughout the year. Though Erie doesn't receive a lot of attention, it is loved by those to and which it is closest. Fly out to Philadelphia's favorite port and see for yourself what makes it so endearing.

When to go:

We deem Erie off limits during winter, for rarely will an amusing activity or praiseworthy adventure show itself while precipitation in its various personas runs rampant throughout the weekly weather predictions. If numbing water and overcoats galore sound appealing, December, January, and February are all suitable months for your tastes. Most tourists (or travelers in general), however, would like to encounter sunny skies and warmth while in Erie. Desires of such a nature can be fulfilled with a visit in spring, summer, and/or autumn.

Getting there and around:

Business may be far better at the docks than at the flight center in Erie, but its airport is a frequent destination for regional and international air transit centers in the north-central and northeastern US, all in all making for a worry-free experience. Car rental agencies are on site providing immediate or pre-arranged bookings. Buses are available outside the gate(s). Public transportation will do for those content with keeping a rather loose schedule, and because service runs well into the night, rarely will another method be necessary.

Attractions:

Presque Isle State Park is a great place to spend a day or two browsing through activities and attractions; nearly all are suitable for every age group. Spend an early morning fishing, then take a trip over to Waldameer Water World, an amusement park with some of the best aquatics-related rides on the globe. Interestingly enough, there exist a few art galleries and a children's museum on grounds as well. Local sports events are held throughout the year in Erie, what with its baseball (,a href="http://www.flightcomparison.co.uk/flightcomparison/externalsite.aspx?go=www.seawolves.com/">Seawolves), hockey (Otters), and football () teams' schedules blending with one another in a way that enables all seasons active.
